Wainwright's Pictorial Guides
The name Alfred Wainwright is now to many people almost synonymous with the Lake District. His "Pictorial Guides to the Lakeland Fells", first published between 1955 and 1966, are on the bookshelves of tens of thousands of lovers of Lakeland fell walking. In their more recent second editions they're still carried on Lake District walks. This new small site is devoted entirely to Wainwright books. It also includes many of his other works and some books and DVDs about him.
